About Nirupam Shrivastava
Nirupam Shrivastav is a Power Plant O&M professional with nearly two decades of experience in the industry. Nirupam is the Operations Shift Manager for Mirta International Power & Water Company, based in Mirfa, UAE.
Through the years, Nirupam Shrivastav has worked within every element of his chosen industry. He’s covered all aspects of management systems, PWPA contract administration, Health & Safety, Safety Rules, Process Safety Management, etc. As the Operations Shift Manager at Mirfa International, Nirupam Shrivastav has found several opportunities to improve his professional skillset. For example, Mr. Shrivastav is responsible for managing electricity and water production from the Mirfa Power & Water facility as dispatched by the off-taker. This ensures the plant is safely operated and within PWPA compliance standards (among other measures, regulations, and concerns). Nirupam has been with Mirfa International since July 2016 and has perfected following these regulations. Nirupam Shrivastav’s work has been so impressive in this regard that he is an authorized safety controller for the implementation of safety rules documents and an authorized safety coordinator for the implementation of cross-boundary safety rule implementation. In other words, Nirupam Shrivastav’s opinion on safety standards is held in high esteem at Mirfa International.
Following regulations and procedures are not the only elements that fall under Nirupam Shrivastav’s purview. As a team leader, Nirupam is expected to work with his employees, helping them find professional success – while maintaining basic safety standards. As such, Mr. Shrivastav takes pride in team-building exercises and aligning members toward a common objective or goal – as any leader should. He also makes a point of offering training to all teammates and giving everyone a fair chance, regardless of their professional background.
Nirupam Shrivastav’s role at Mirfa International is his most recent position, far from the only industry experience he has. Nirupam Shrivastav worked as a Control Room Engineer for Ras Laffran-B. He stayed with the company for over eleven years before moving to Mirfa. During this time, he worked in production, specifically in operations specializing in combining cycle power plant and desalination units. Before this, Nirupam Shrivastav worked as an Assistant Team Manager for CLP India Ltd. This is where Nirupam first honed his leadership skills, which he puts to excellent use in his current role as Operations Shift Manager.
Understandably, education and training play significant roles in Nirupam Shrivastav’s life. Mr. Shrivastav attended the National Power Training Institute in India, where he earned a post-graduate diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering. Prior to that, he earned his bachelor’s degree at Nagpur University, India. Nirupam also took a General Management program through the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). Regarding certifications, Nirupam Shrivastav has earned certifications through NEBOSH for Profess Safety Management and Occupational Health & Safety. Likewise, Nirupam Shrivastav is a certified OHS Practitioner and IRCA Certified Lead Auditor (for ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
When Nirupam Shrivastav isn’t focused on work or green technology, he enjoys spending time relaxing. In particular, Mr. Shrivastav is a big fan of both photography and music.
